25th Anniversary Presentation Day
(Mike Rigley 15/02/2022)
Wheldrake Junior Football club is 25 years young this year and to celebrate our landmark we’re planning this year’s presentation to include as many former players, coaches, managers, and volunteers as possible.
The event will be held at the village hall and playing fields in Wheldrake on Sunday 3 July and will include presentation of trophies for this season, displays of club memorabilia, BBQ, Bar and various activities.
After such a tough period, with everything Covid has thrown at us, it would be great to see lots of people there with current or past connections to the club to mark our milestone. We have over 200 players, aged from 4 to 16 and for a community club like us to keep going for so long is something we all should be incredibly proud of.
The event is free, there is always a great turnout, but it would be good to see as many past volunteers and players as possible.
‘Legends’ friendly matches are also planned so if you want to play or can get a team together please use the link on the Wheldrake Junior Football website (http://www.wheldrakejfc.co.uk) at the bottom of the ‘links’ section.
We would also love to hear from anyone who has club memorabilia, photographs, old playing shirts etc so they can be displayed on the day. If you have please tell us about it (or upload photos) via the link on the Wheldrake Junior Football website (http://www.wheldrakejfc.co.uk) at the bottom of the ‘links’ section.
Let’s get together and celebrate the past, present, and future of our fabulous club.
